Hello, my lovelies!
It’s been a while since my last blog post, but I decided to take a little media break. I had the most amazing time on my birthday with my family in Barcelona and after that I had the opportunity to celebrate the Orthodox Easter in Sofia. It was amazing! With every year that I live abroad, I just start loving more and more family holidays and cosy times at home in Bulgaria!
Now we are back to Barcelona and even tough the weather has been on and off for a while, we are trying to make the most of the sunny days. Thankfully, on Friday and Sunday the weather was amazing and we decided to walk around, tried to find a cute lemon tree for our balcony and even managed to have a beach picnic day!!!!
On Friday we went for a nice healthy lunch to one of my favourite places “Flax & Kale”. After more than amazing salads, fried watermelon and fresh coconut, we headed towards a big flower market “Mercat de la Concepció” in the centre.
On our way we entered the garden of University of Barcelona and I was so amazed! It was like a natural park, so cosy and relaxed. There were so many students hanging out, reading and just chilling surrounded by this beautiful garden. That’s why we took just a few photos and left so that our touristy walk doesn’t disturb them.
We then went to our final destination, the flower market and this place was totally gorgeous! I didn’t expect it to be that big, colourful and pretty. I really love flowers and this was like a paradise! They literally had every kind of real and fake flowers you could think of. I really recommend you visit this place, even if you are not looking for flowers!
The people there were really nice, but we ended up not buying what we wanted, mainly a cute small lemon tree… Anyways, we still bought an extremely beautiful spring bouquet for home and we decided to keep looking for our perfect lemon!
Saturday was pretty disappointing, as it was dull and raining the whole day, so we stayed at home, cozied up and did ‘Netflix and chill’. I also finally found time to do amazing raw bars with oats, dates, chia and goji berry. It was my second time trying out this recipe and I loved it! It is the best healthy raw bar!
The next day we decided to do something different and we went to “Port Fórum” for a beach picnic day!!! Every time we are by the beach, we see lots of people just having a picnic and we decided to give it a try. Honestly, I loved the beach picnic so much that I now want all my lunches to look like this!
I just love doing things I have never done before, because this is the best way to diversify your everyday life. It was so peaceful, relaxing and was literally the best way to spend the sunny day. We brought banana pancakes, raw bars, different fruits and Bulgarian Easter bread, which I love so much that I’d brought it from Sofia.
After an amazing meal by the sea with a perfect view, we stayed on the beach, relaxed for a while and just enjoyed the sunshine. I really recommend you to try out beach picnic whenever you have the opportunity. It is definitely such a nice experience!!!
