Hello, my lovelies!
We’re continuing the fashion articles with probably one of my latest favourite looks, mainly the Christian Dior inspired look.
As a master graduate in fashion, I kind of have to start this blog post by telling you a little bit history background of this iconic silhouette.

In 1947 during the presentation of Christian Dior’s debut collection at his couture house on 30 Avenue Montaigne, a unique tailleur was presented, called the Bar (rumoured to be named after Bar Hemingway at Ritz Paris). The revolutionary combination of an exquisitely feminine hourglass-waisted suit jacket, worn over a lavish long pleated skirt was soon to be famously referred to as the ‘New Look’.

Back to present times, the first woman appointed as creative director of the couture house, Maria Grazia Chiuri, manifested Christian Dior’s atavism by referring mainly to the ‘New Look’ silhouette during her latest collections. Thus, making it once again one of most elegant and desired styles.
The couture house definitely made this rich in history and extremely stylish silhouette so fashionable that you can currently see many different variations of it both during fashion shows, in fashion magazines and even on social media.
Here I decided to inspire you to recreate the Dior inspired look regardless of whether you choose designer or high-street pieces, while still adding a bit of your personal touch to make it even more special.
